      @gomerx @speeddefrost Could also be environmental. If lots of smoke or dust, can cause crashes or overheating.

      I've religiously kept my computer case VERY clean of dust. That is most certainly not the issue. Seagate drives are just defective shit.

      don't think I ever had seagate - mostly samsung/toshiba/WD - mostly they just work. One old WD recently died, but not unexpected
